My aim is to provide an environment in which children will be secure, stimulated warm and happy.
About Me
My name is Louie Milliken and i am a registered childminder. I am registered by the Care Commission and i am insured by the Scottish Childminding Association. I have 3 daughters of my own age 10 years, 7 years and 1 and a half years. I previously worked in Edinburgh's Sick Childrens Hospital as a clinical support worker, before deciding to become a childminder. I hold a Scottish Progression Award in children's care and play, various child protection certificates, up to date first aid certificates, and i endeavour to continue to attend regular training opportunities. My service aims to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for any child.
Ages of children: children are welcome from birth to 12 years old.
I pick up and drop off at Lasswade Primary School and St. Mary's Primary School
I will provide meals if requested and i provide snacks. Children can bring their own lunch with them if prefered. i provide healthy snacks and homecooked meals. i encourage the children to eat healthily at all times.
I would ask that parents bring their child/children to visit before their start date to familiarize themselves with the other children and to get to know myself and the house a bit better. This will make the first few days a little bit easier for the child.
